- Pick up at 7.30 am and proceed to Nelligala Temple. A modern international Buddhist centre. This temple contains relics of arahat. This location gives you a beautifull wiew of the mountains of Knuckles mountain range and Adams peak and all the high mountains in the central hills.
30 minits drive from Kandy.
* Proceed to pilimathalawa and visit Gadaladeniya Templeafter driving 45 minuits.
Ancient Buddhist temple this temple, was build in 1344 by king buwanakabahu 1V. designed by south Indian architect into Hindu architectural style with a granite structure.
* Proceed to lankathilaka rajamaha viharaya withing 20 minuits.
This temple is also build by king Buwanakabahu IV into the south Indian tradition. It was believed that this is the most magnificent temple build in Gampola kingdom.
* Proceed to embakke Devalaya. It will take 20 minuits.
Embakka devalaya build by king vikramabahu 111 in 1357-1374 this devalaya is dedicated to God Skandakumar and drummers courtyard is very important for the visitors due to splendid wood carvings on the pillars and high pitched roof.
After having a picnic lunch you will proceed back to the hotel at about 4 pm.
